In an interview with Geoblink, a location intelligence company, Dimas Gimeno, the former president of El Corte Inglés, offered his thoughts on the challenges currently faced by the department store, and broke down the distribution landscape in Spain.

“El Corte Inglés is a unique company,” said the executive, highlighting the store’s presence and market share in all categories in Spain: “It is difficult to find a department store in the world that has that so deep a presence and market share in a country.”
